Backup organisation - use camera model

Hi there, I have an improvement suggestion for under backup organisation - use the exif data for camera model to organise photos (store year/month/camera model).
Sometimes photos on the device backing up (let’s say MacBook) come from various sources like DSLR cameras, iPhone and other phones etc that users might edit on the MacBook but currently the only option offered would be year/month/MacBook or other permeations using MacBook.
My strong preference would be like the following:
2020
01
Canon…
Sony….
IPhone ….
Huawei…

Thanks for considering this improvement suggestion as it would be very helpful for me and some other users.

Hi there, thank you for the suggestion! I’m considering adding it.

I need to conduct some testing to ensure it won’t affect backup performance. I’ll keep you updated on any progress.

Thanks again for your suggestion!

I've already added two new backup organization options:
  • Year / Month / Camera Model
  • Camera Model / Year / Month

I hope these will be helpful for your use case. So far, I haven’t encountered any issues during testing.

I’ve attached a screenshot for reference.

If everything continues to go smoothly, I’ll include this together with a few other new features in the next release. It shouldn’t be too long. 😊
